ITV's "This Morning" programme contacted David and Lilian Alleyn Sensei asking if they could help with their programme on martial arts for the more mature.  Nina Wilson, one of SJK's older black belts, had an interesting day at the ITV studios when she appeared on the programme with two other active mature women.  The programme, presented by Fern Brittan and Phillip Schofield, covered the health and vitality that can be obtained in later years through leisure activities such as karate.  Nina explained the assets of karate in later years and the benefits of training for the older person and demonstrated part of the kata Tekki Shodan with an explanation of the moves.
